February seemed to fly by and March seems to be traveling at the same pace.
At the beginning of February, we celebrated the anniversary of our first kiss. Usually this would not be so momentous, however I was planning to be gone on Valentines Day visiting family. In celebration of the month of love, I did what any self-respecting wife would would do and decorated her husband's car (well at least the driver's seat because I was about to be spotted in the parking lot of his office).

He returned the favor by sending me flowers for the anniversary at work in commemoration of the first time he made me dinner (and burnt the pizza).

Lucky for me, his cooking has improved from that first burnt frozen pizza. He is even attempting to master 10 new recipes before the baby comes to help in the kitchen after. February he mastered baked chimichangas and Thai Basil chicken fried rice. Delicious!

The middle of February was spent snowed-in. Two blizzards
dumped snow on the area. Lowell got one day off due to the poor roads (well, he was supposed to log in from home, but the server was too overloaded and his boss told him not to worry about it). Before the end of the month I had five snow days - gotta love working for a school district instead of a private sector company. I don't think I have ever seen that much snow in a city! The mountains sure, but not in a highly populated area. Parts of I-95 and 476 were even closed. After the second blizzard in four days, Lowell and I went exploring around our complex, and dug out one car - it only took about an hour.

Yes, that is me on our deck in capri pajama bottoms, and no my feet are not completely on the ground.
There was still a layer of ice and snow that I couldn't break through.

Because of the storms my original flight to visit my family was canceled and then delayed a few times. Luckily after the first cancellation, I was rebooked on a flight for the next afternoon - which was one of the first flights on that airline out of Philadelphia that day. I finally made it to Idaho on the 11th (well, technically the 12th because it was so late.) I had a great time seeing my family and working on baby items, including a blessing outfit. Thank you everyone for such a fun time! Can't wait to see you again.
February concluded with more snow. We can officially say we have survived the snowiest winter in Philadelphia history (at least those winters on record).
March has started off well and it is finally warming up with spring right around the corner! We still have piles of snow, some I don't think will be gone until June. However, I have pulled out my flip flops.
Last week we attended our childbirth class. It is hard to believe I am over 30 weeks. So much to do and so little time. The pregnancy is going well and I feel pretty good most days. Just tired and sore, but that is to be expected. Work takes all of my energy and I am finding it harder and harder to concentrate on my tasks. 69 days until D-Day. At least 10 times a day people ask how I am doing and if I feel okay, I respond great - just tired. What else am I supposed to say? As for preparations, we have crib, clothes, and blankets. As soon as we pick up a car seat and some diapers we could actually bring a baby home. He is a very active little boy and it is fun seeing my belly move. The kicks are definitely getting stronger.
On the 9th we celebrated my birthday. My last year where I can round down to 20 instead of up to 30. Lowell spoiled me with breakfast in bed - his yearly tradition of French Toast. For dinner I requested chicken croissants - which Lowell cooked to perfection. Dairy Queen cake with our friends Becky, Curtis, Logan, and Hannah followed. Then it was time for presents. I got a new blow dryer and I am seriously in love. 5-7 minutes to blow dry versus 15-20 AND it is quiet. Lowell couldn't hear it in the front room - see the admiration in my face below?

Happy March everyone!
