Fun Times

Lowell started orientation on August 14th so we have tried to fill our days with fun things (around unpacking and cleaning and organizing of course) - and when Dad is around we include him.

We ventured to the splash pad.
Tanner is mesmerized by this water ball thing.
Checking out the train table at the toy store.  Tanner even knew who "Percy" was - I was dumbfounded.  Lowell tried to buy an $8 piece of chocolate covered carmel salted bacon or something like that.  ;)
Loving the fountains

And played at home.
Loving the water in the backyard!

Spencer decided he could eat solid foods and LOVES them.

Helped mom organize our quilts
And the fair.
He really did like this lamb and kept giggling
You can see his excitement
Cheep Cheep
Trying to climb in and join them
The bunny

Spencer was there too.  Happily content in the stroller.

Monkey balloon animal

And met with old roommates (I need the group shot...hint hint.  We ate outside to not overwhelm the restaurant, adults were outnumbered almost 2 to 1).
Carolyn making my kid happy, it was not his finest hour.

And the park.

Tanner's favorite place - the swing!

Giggles all around

And finally attempted a brother photo shoot...turned mauling session.
"Hey, I see you..."
Attack! (in all reality there were loving giggles and squeals of delight from both boys.  They sure do love each other.
They look like happy boys to me, so I say it was a success.

6 Years!

One week ago, my bride and I celebrate our 6th anniversary.  Amidst our hectic schedule of moving and packing, we decided to celebrate like teenagers (perhaps my church service with 16-18 year olds over the past year has penetrated my mind).  I took her to Wahooz Fun Zone.

Beginning with bumper boats...

Continuing with bumper cars...

My competitive girl...

Then ending with some classic arcade games...

And a failed attempt to try and grab candy.  Honestly, has anybody EVER succeeded with these grab machines?

Happy 6th anniversary to my beautiful bride, Jacqueline Elise Smith.  Thank you for keeping it fresh and exciting!

Last Days in Idaho

Our last days in Idaho passed way too fast.  But they were fun.

Strike a pose Tanner

Spencer enjoying the clothes I was pulling out to being organizing.
Grandma kept "packing" Tanner

Luckily we didn't loose him in the sea of clothes

No, I don't think Tanner got dressed that day
Say Cheese

We slept in our Panda Bear Hat from Aunt Allison - sorry this was the best picture I could take without waking him up

Elizabeth turned 14 and I made the Oreo Cake (layered oreos with milk and white chocolate ganache poured over)

Tanner decided to cook while Lowell and I were packing.  We heard a crash and came out to this...

And this.  Yes, those are eggs.
Lowell went on the Priest's High Adventure
Our Seven Month Old - so cute I couldn't pick just one.

I finished my first quilt top

Tanner liked exploring the boxes as we packed.

Played on Grandpa's iPad

He likes self-portraits

Tanner and his nursery teacher.  Ironically, she was released our last Sunday - perfect timing for Tanner.  She was amazing!

Tanner helped load the truck

Tanner enjoyed swinging with grandma, the sprinkler was on and he would swing in and out of the water laughing hysterically

Hannah and Spencer had to get in on the action
Sadly it had to end.  Here are my boys saying goodbye to their grandparents.

Then we were off on our new adventure.
