Park Days

Tanner loves the playground at our apartment complex and often beelines it out the door and straight to the playground.  Last Saturday there was a rumor the pool heater for our complex had been fixed so Lowell got Tanner ready to swim.  Sadly, it was just a rumor.  Tanner didn't seem to mind though and went straight for the playground.  He is quite the big boy and loves climbing up the slides instead of actually sliding down.  Hard to think last year at this time he was barely walking and now he is full on running, jumping, and climbing.  Where did my little baby go?

5 Months!

Spencer turned 5 months on June 3rd.  He is becoming such a little person.  He is quick to smile and laugh.  I LOVE his belly laugh.  He really wants to sit up and loves laughing at his older brother's antics.  Occasionally he sleeps through the night for me (something Tanner didn't do until well past a year and is still hit or miss), however the past few nights the sleep thing hasn't worked out well.  He got his second double ear infection that month.  He may be on the fast track for tubes if things don't clear up quickly.  He rolled over and has his first two bottom teeth.

He was 20lbs. 9 ozs. just a few days before the 3rd and sports mainly 9-12 month clothing these days.

We love having our little Spencer around.

The Birthday Festivities

Tanner turned 2 on May 25th and it was a day of festivities.  For his 1st birthday I could barely get off the couch because of morning sickness so I tried to do better this year.

For lunch we went on a hot date - to Burger King no less.  (I had to get him a crown.)
When dad got home we attempted a 2 Year photoshoot.  Even with chocolate chips he was less than cooperative.  Good thing he is pretty dang cute even when not looking at the camera.

Proof Spencer was around that day.

After dinner of Easy Lasagna (one of Tanner's favorites) we headed to my parent's for the festivities.  Tanner opened his presents with great gusto...and lots of small pieces of wrapping paper.  From us he got a bunch of arts and crafts supplies - mainly so we had the stuff to make a bunch of my pinterest pins for kids.

Who knew cornstarch could be used to make so much stuff?

His favorite gift was probably the Lightening McQueen car from my parents.  He wouldn't get off it the rest of the evening...not even for his cake.

His masterpiece of a cake...made by moi.

An almost family shot, Spencer was asleep.
Happy Birthday Tan Man!
