The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Since I still can't find my camera cord, here is a very belated December update.

Tanner loved our Christmas tree...a little too much. Most of the ornaments were on the top 1/3 of the tree. It was fun seeing him so fascinated by the lights. One night before bed, Tanner decided to dump all of the toys and books he could possibly find into his crib. He was ready for a bedtime party. This activity occupied him for a good 15-20 minutes and there were a few repeats on a smaller scale later in the month.

Christmas Eve was spent at my Grandparents house. As is tradition, my family all wore our new Christmas pajama bottoms which were the Cat in the Hat this year. Tanner and I (well technically it was on my belly for Spencer) completed the outfits with "Thing 1" and "Thing 2" stickers. My Grandpa donned a Santa hat and gave all the grandchildren and great-grandchildren (high school age and younger) a gift. Tanner refused to sit on his lap, however loved the travel-sized magna doodle he got. The older grandchildren got "Chicken Noodle Soup" kits to make for dinner on rainy days. Lowell claimed ours. Here is a four generation shot with my grandparents, parents, me and Lowell, and Tanner. As you can tell tanner was not a fan of getting his picture taken or being contained that evening. Christmas Morning Tanner was in heaven. He loved opening his presents and was in awe.
One of his favorite toys was a Leap Frog children's laptop. One of the buttons plays music and he dances every time he hears it.
Lowell sang a solo of "O Holy Night" at Church and after the meetings we gathered at my parents house to open more presents and have a Christmas feast of prime rib.
A couple days after Christmas my mom realized she forgot one of Tanner's gifts and brought over this adorable puppy/sleeping bag. Tanner loves his "puppy" and I love it because it means I don't have to have a real dog. :)
