10 Months!

I think I am in denial that my baby is 10 months old! In less than 2 months he will be a year - which means he is no longer a baby.  And those two months happen to be some of the busiest of the year with the Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Spencer is such a light and joy in our lives.  He is a super happy kid and is only fussy when tired, hungry, or has an ear infection (double ear infection #3 hit at the end of October...and then a lingering cough and runny nose...not fun Spencer, not fun).

He still only has 8 teeth and eats just about everything I put in front of him.  He is a scavenger and if I don't sweep right after a meal, he is there picking up what he left behind.

He LOVES music and is often seen bobbing his head and moving his body - even when it is just a commercial or his mom singing off key.  No matter the music he is there.  He also likes toys that light up...big surprise...have music.

This month he discovered technology and darts faster than anything I have ever seen for my phone, the remote - you name it and he wants it.  His favorite is the Comcast remote.

For several months I have suspected that Spencer has food allergies.  After his 9 month appointment we were going to wait before getting him tested.  (I couldn't narrow down what was bothering him.)  I assumed dairy like Tanner.  However, he broke into hives so I scheduled an allergy test.  The culprit - eggs.  Do you know how hard it is to cut out eggs when you like to bake? We have had several experiments around here.  And his skin is finally clearing up from its horrible eczema.

Spencer is a pro at climbing the stairs.  However, he wants nothing to do with going down them.  Whenever I try to show him he giggles and crawls up as fast as he can.  His favorite is to climb up to the landing of the stairs and sit there until I notice he is missing.  As soon as I go after him he beelines it for the top of the stairs and giggles the whole way.

This month we also moved him to a convertible carseat.  He seems to like it, however isn't a fan of the car in general at this point.  Wish us luck on our trip to California next week.

We love our little Spence Pence!

And to include Tanner.  On the evening of the election, our friends Jon and Liz invited us to their house to watch the election results.  Liz has started purchasing gym equipment to teach her kids and this gymnastics bar had arrived that day.  Tanner LOVED swinging and jumping.
